Birch Tree Journal ?

(  Da  –  lo –  ne  –   ga       A  –  da )

is the word for the Birch Tree in the Cherokee Language. It translates into English as “Yellow Wood”.

On the Appalachian Trail it is common for hikers to adopt or be given a “trail name” to be known as and to sign trail registers and journals. I have taken to signing my entries with this signature.
